What are Rooms?
- Rooms are a basic building block in the Metaverse that represent an interconnected spatial area.
Contract: 0x6387C241Ed596448395a619C80A6d47648254523
- In social experiences, Rooms might be used to represent a place where a creator can curate their content and decorate to show off their personal style.
- In games, Rooms might be used to represent a level or a dungeon.
What can you do with Rooms?
The Rooms contract is a simple NFT contract that has the following properties:
- Each Room can be connected to a number of other Rooms
- Each Room is generated from a random seed that determines it's rarity (and possible other project-defined traits)
- Each Room can generate $CLOUT, a special token that can only be obtained from harvesting every 24 hours. Additional $CLOUT can be earned by staking Kongbucks ($KB) in a Room
Additional functionality is provided by extension contracts and other ecosystems that utilize these Rooms.
This provides the foundation for a map that can be used to create a wide variety of experiences, like an interactive gallery or a loot-collecting dungeon game.
A project using Rooms as a building block might use the random seed to define other traits like:
- Room size variations
- Mining node locations
- Biome types
Which Rooms you decide to connect to is also a type of social meta game as both room owners will need to agree to the connection.
The Rooms Ecosystem
Rooms will be one of the foundational building blocks used in Mr. Lee's Greater Hong Kong. Each GHK Keycard will be allocated 5 free mints of a Room NFT.
Rooms will actively seek to create partnerships with other projects to create a network of interconnected experiences. A reward system will be created to incentivize projects to utilize Rooms in their experiences and Rooms will receive rewards proportionally to their score rankings.
How many Rooms are there?
There are 10,000 Rooms in total, each costing 500 KB to mint.
[A GHK Keycard will allow minting 5 Rooms for free]
